Purgatory’s main venue space, where most performances are taking place, is up a flight of twenty stairs, and is not ADA-accessible. Most performances in this space will have mixed floor seating (on mats & cushions), folding chair seating, and standing room. Saturday night performances will be mostly standing room, but we will always have a few chairs available for anyone who needs to sit down. For all performance blocks, we will have 3-5 access seating chairs reserved. There will not be strobe lights at any of the performances.
Purgatory’s downstairs (featuring their full main bar and two restrooms) is ADA-accessible. Vending, workshops, tabling, and other activities will be happening in this space throughout the day and night both days. On Saturday night, two DJs will also be performing downstairs.
Aberdeen Community Garden — where two workshops are being held — has ADA compliant paths and paved surfaces. There is ample seating available under their small pavilion, at picnic-style round tables, as well as in some folding chairs. There is one all-gender bathroom at the Garden with a compost toilet, and the adjacent park’s gendered bathrooms may be open during the workshops.
This festival is not mask-required, although we will have masks (N95s & KN95s) available. There will not be ASL interpretation, audio description, or captioning available. If you have any other questions or concerns about accessibility, you can reach out to us at ewrayprojects@gmail.com.

El espacio principal de Purgatory, donde se llevarán a cabo la mayoría de las obras y actuaciones, su ubica en el 2do piso con 20 escalones de subida y no conforme con la accesibilidad normativa del ADA. La mayoría de las actuaciones en el 2do piso ofrecerán varios tipos de asientos (sobre almohadones y alfrombrillas), sillas plegables y espacio para quedarse de pie. Las actuaciones de la noche del Sábado serán principalmente en zona para estar de pie, pero siempre tendremos sillas disponibles para cualquier persona que necesite sentarse. No habrá luces estroboscópicas en ninguna de las actuaciones.
El 1er piso de Purgatory (con el bar completo y dos baños) es accesible conforme a la normativa ADA. En el 1er piso se llevarán a cabo ventas, talleres, mesas informativas y otras actividades durante todo el día y la noche, para ambos días del festival. En la noche del Sábado, dos DJs también se presentarán en el 1er piso.
El jardín comunitario de Aberdeen —donde se habrán dos talleres— cuenta con senderos y superficies pavimentadas que cumplen con la normativa de accesibilidad ADA. Hay lugares para sentarse bajo su pabellón, en mesas redondas estilo pícnic, también habrán sillas plegables. En el jardín se encuentra un baño mixto equipado con un baño compostero. El parque adyacente tienen baños también que son separados por género, y posiblemente permanezcan abiertos durante los talleres.
El uso de mascarillas no es obligatorio en este festival, aunque tendremos mascarillas disponibles (N95 y KN95). No se ofrecerán servicios de interpretación en ASL, audiodescripción, o subtítulos.
